The Armor of God: What Am I Wearing? is a bold look at the Christian life from first a skeptic's then a Christian's perspective. The hard questions are met head-on like...Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?... Do Christians believe the Bible is 100% true?... Is Faith blind?
A Christian is faced with the choice to either explain the armor he is wearing or to take it off. He meets a non-Christian who appears to decimate the ideas of Truth, Righteousness, and Faith even using the Bible and Jesus' Words to do it. Then comes along a strong Christian who correctly defines the armor and shows him how to wear it. Find book on Amazon. |
Everyone wants something in life. I believe the one great desire, deep in every heart, is the desire for unconditional love. Not only does everyone yearn for this high form of love, but this special kind of love is alive. It is not an energy that would be impersonal. It is not found in a human that when their life ends love also dies. No, this living love is divine. It is a He who is also pursuing every person to make them complete by being loved.
This idea is explored and analogized in four short stories and three poems. Who is unconditional love? If you do not know, open these pages to discover the answer. If you already have this love as I do, you will open this book and find yourself in an old familiar place and glimpse anew the One you know, for I have but borrowed His pen and paper to copy His own story. I hope you will derive even a portion of the pleasure I have had in their creation. For I, the apprentice, have but copied my Master’s work. Find on Amazon. |

Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to write a poem on the topic of loneliness. I was sitting at home by myself and realized this terribly uncomfortable feeling. When I asked God to take it away, He replied that it was a gift! That definitely didn't make sense to me. But then He helped me write this poem, and I realized how precious and comforting is the purpose of loneliness.

It is not uncommon for people to ask me why I'm so happy. Some even ask if it's an act. For those that have Jesus within them, joy is a regular companion and to be without it is the rarity. Because the message that pervades our culture is that happiness is found in a relationship with another human, people seem bewildered when they see joy in a person living a "single" life. Perhaps the attainment of joy is determined by a different relationship, the relationship we were made to be in with Jesus.
Can joy be attained during the "single" years? Read the poem My Single Joy. |
What is the definition of good? It's not something we usually spend a lot of thought on, but the word itself is in constant use. Are we sure what we mean by it?
Wondering what the definition could be? Read the poem Good. |
