The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like total darkness. They have no idea what they are stumbling over. Proverbs 4:18-19 NLT With the first light of the day The coldness starts melting away. The light creates hues Of purple, pink and blue. The sky before the day, Sets Time to a play. The overhead stage, set in total darkness, Represents those who chose the way of wickedness. Against the next actors the blackness endeavors to taint. These, each star, represents a saint. The stars shine in expectance. Each with a hope continues to give their tiny eminence. Though the darkness of night continues to oppress, Till their leader comes the stars must persist. An hour, maybe two more, then the darkness will no longer be able to shun The blazing glory of the sun. The night continues with foreboding. Some claim the night will live undying. Although it is darker now than before, As if the stage curtain was just brought across this overhead floor, The props and set are moving For Act II – The Morning. The sky forecasts a future final day. But those who have read the story’s ending, Worry not that the darkness still covers everything. Not all the characters are on stage that were writ, The final actor stands just out of sight Behind the curtain at stage right. Even as to the stars, the darkness is scoffing, The outer edge of its realm begins burning. Then out from the curtain and up from the horizon, the mighty ancient light rises to defeat the night. No night however dark can a victory display For every morning proves the winner is the day. The backdrop of the overhead stage is sapphire, To the terror of the darkness, rises the great ball of fire. All the blackness melts in its gleam. All that was hidden is now seen. At once, the sun gathers every star. Not one he misses, near or far. Defeat is now the only claim of the night. All kneel before the victor of the fight. So comes the sun rising on the clouds of the heavens. So shines the Son as the unchallengeable Ruler of Heaven.
